How To Block Program With Windows Firewall - Step By Step



Windows Firewall:
Firewall controls incoming and outgoing network traffic and establish a secure internet connection. Windows Firewall is a fire-walling and packet filtering function of Microsoft Windows.

Why need to block a program:
Apps, programs or software whatever you like to say, can use internet connection with or without your awareness. The reasons to connect to the network are, updates, showing adds, install extended and unwanted version of the program, install a new unwanted program etc. Sometimes these could be necessary. Like you don't want to miss any AMD catalyst control update, right? At the same time you don't want your program to act like a vendor, then easy way to stop the unwanted behavior of the program is to block that program.

Block program with Windows Firewall:
  1. At first go to Control Panel. Then select Windows Firewall
  2. Click on Advanced Settings.
  3. Then click on Inbound rules and select New Rule from Actions.
  4. Then select Program > This Program Path > Block the connection > ✔Domain ✔Private ✔Public > Name and finally click Finish.
  5. Then click on Outbound rules and select New Rule from Actions.
  6. Then select Program > This Program Path > Block the connection > ✔Domain ✔Private ✔Public > Name and finally click Finish.

Router and Wifi Problems Solved

Check this 4 simple steps to fix your Wi-Fi problems
  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. Check your Wi-Fi device.
  3. Troubleshoot Wi-Fi problems.
  4. Wi-Fi switch On.
1. Check your internet connection.
  • make sure there is nothing wrong with your ISP.
  • if your internet connection is OK then follow step 2.
2. Check your Wi-Fi device.
  • right click on "My Computer/This Pc", and select "properties".
  • then select "Device Maneger".
  • expand "Network Adapters". you will see your Wi-Fi Adapter.
  • right click on it, select enable, if it is disabled.
  • if it is already enabled, follow step 3.
3. Troubleshoot Wi-Fi problems.
  • right click on the Wi-Fi icon from the taskbar.
  • select "troubleshoot problems".
  • it should fix your problem. 
  • if it says, "Windows can not communicate with the primary DNS" there might be a problem with your ISP. So, acknowledge them your problem.
  • if you can not click on Wi-Fi icon, because you are not allowed to, follow step 4.
4. Wi-Fi switch on.
  • there is a key with Wi-Fi icon on your keyboard.
  • you can press that key to turn your Wi-Fi on/off.
  • press that key to turn your Wi-Fi on.
Additional step.
  • disable your firewall.
  • sometimes firewall block Wi-Fi connections.
